The Valders Police Department is comprised of 1 full-time and 1 part-time officers. The Chief of Police is William Riesterer.  The Village police are dispatched by the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Dept.

The Village of Valders has a population of 1000+ and is located in central Manitowoc County.  Valders has a heritage of Norwegian background.  Our local Lions Club has put together the award winning Viking Ship Float.  The Village, along with various industries, has a Valders Area School System consisting of grades K-12 with approximately 1200 students.

The Village is in a growth pattern and various new areas of development have recently opened for industry as well as private housing.
