May Be Wondering, "Who Is This Guy?" In the years I've studied marketing, I've
noticed much of the college level stuff is oriented toward big businesses.
Some of the MBA level information is applicable to small businesses, but
it won't help unless the basics are already in place. I've learned undergraduate & MBA level marketing. I've also learned a lot from Jay Abraham, Jay Conrad Levinson, Jack Trout, Al Ries, Marcia Yudkin, Chet Holmes, Philip Kotler, Tom Hopkins, Jeff & Marc Slutsky. I've combined their ideas with what I've learned from less famous people & from what good & bad experiences. I've worked for big retailers - - Montgomery Ward & Wal-Mart - - & small locally-based businesses. Some of these business still exist. I've also learned from those that haven't survived, including my own. Beyond that, I've studied internet marketing to learn some of the basics. I've pretty much put it aside until I find enough clients who are willing to have a web site. Marcia Yudkin (to find out about her, please click on her name at the left) recruited me and some others to find out if Main Street American businesses have web sites. Three of us found only a few that did. Two reported some small businesses are doing well online. If you'd like to share your insights on small businesses and internet marketing with all of us (on this site) or just me, please click on this e-mail link or the Discussion Forum link at the left. Then please give your details or opinions. Let me know if it's OK with you for me to publish what you send me. MY PRIVACY POLICY Related to this, if you send me something,
